Original Antique Italian Floor
A special selection of original antique reclaimed floors originating from antique villas from central Italy.
Ours are not replicas, they are all original floors, their original patina and signs of time are the best warranty ever.
Only a LACOLE CASA ITALIANA original antique floor enriches your home and makes it unique.
The Antique flooring of which we display are all original and antique, recuperated from antique villas and farmhouses.
The Antique floors in brick, stone and wood on exhibition have clear and specific characteristics. Firstly they have a extraordinary patina-pattern, meaning that it’s been worn over time giving its lovable and fascinating look.
You will find them displayed with care in our showrooms, where they are displayed in the ideal atmosphere full of objects and furniture, but where you can also see them displayed on pallets, selected and prepared for the customer’s choice.
Our interior floors are also made in terracotta, stone and antique wood in order to show the real look of the product.
We usually recover materials from old demolished buildings and immediately move the old floors to our warehouse to begin the selection process.
This means removing the broken pieces, cleaning the material from excessive dirt and remnants of brick, while keeping the patina. In a nutshell selection means presenting the customer with a perfect product, ready for sale and delivery, a product that is beautiful and also easy to install.
It is clear that in a batch of material there may be different individual pieces, although consistent with each other, shades of color and surface may differ slightly precisely because time has created these irregularites, something that would have been present even in the same original floor.
It is in particular this, the most fascinating and intriguing part of this material, the consistency of the material in its subtle internal differences, the visible harmony that time can create.
The antique floors typically have a great personality in the definition of environments and yet compared to the rest of the furniture retain some discretion and instrumentality.
This makes them timeless, never intrusive and always so beautiful, I would say more and more lovely as time goes on, in a few words they won’t “tire” the home owner, who will love them even more each and every day.
